Well, my ultimate goal with this 100Mbps network is to get the two
machines (Linux and Windows 95) to behave like one machine with two OSs.
(with samba,smbmount,X,etc.). I am using a 10/100 switch, and there's just
maybe 6 feet between either machine and the switch.
It looks like X operates pretty smoothly, as does moving files back and
forth. It could be faster, but then again, that's always my motto. :-)
(It's a PPRO in Linux, and a PII in Windows -- Not much else going on with
either)
