Subject: Abusive e-mail
I recently got some abusive and even threatening e-mail about a post I
rejected from sci.physics.research. I was wondering if anyone has any
advice about how to handle such situations. My inclination is to do
nothing, at least for the moment, but I'd be interested to hear what
other people, particularly those who have faced similar situations,
think. Naturally, if anyone has direct experience with the
individuals involved, I'd be interested to know about that too.
I'll append the e-mails below. The first one is from the person whose
post was rejected, and arrived a few hours after the "rejection
letter" went out. The second is from a third party, and came about a
day later.

I find it more than mere irony that you're just two letters away from the
name of a mass murderer. Fitting, though, since you've taken on the task of
censorship and slashing my access to key newsgroups. I suppose your fragile
ego has once again been massaged. My only advise might be GET A LIFE, and
get out of the censorship business.
Don't even try to pull the 'ole "...but I'm the moderator" crap. It won't
fly with me. Try that line on someone less gullible. You CHOSE to censor
me. You CHOSE to deny my information to the world of physics. You CHOSE to
stand in the way of advancement. You've chosen to look like an idiot!
Your criteria is: Physics oriented. Well that criteria should have been met
since gravity is one of the "holy grails" of physics. Your own Einstein
worked his last days trying to understand it (to no avail I might add). He
found himself mired in his own theories unable to reconcile the forces of
nature and without even the tinyest of hopes to do so. You want to talk
theory? You'd be absolutely SHOCKED at what I could throw at you. You
haven't even the least inkling of what I'm capable of - and that's your
weakness. I'd put you in your place so fast, you'd think you were run over
by a truck.
The other criteria is that posts can't be speculative. GET REAL!! You want
to talk speculative? Let's talk about superstrings and all the gibberish
your ilk has been spewing for God knows how long. The superstring theory is
the biggest load of baseless crap I've ever seen. It's all a bunch of
"interpretation" of mathematics. Just like statistics can be interpreted
any which way you want.
You and your kind have been spinning yarns for so long, I doubt seriously
you'd recognise a valid concept if it hit you in the head! You may have the
bulk of the population snowed, but I for one don't buy all the junk that's
been dished out NOT ONE IOTA. All I see is a bunch of fat-cats busy
protecting their saleries. I could show you in no time how the search for
transverse gravity waves is A TOTAL WASTE OF TAXPAYERS MONEY. Not to
mention monopoles! There's about 60 million dollars right there that could
be recouped. But nobody wants to listen to what I have to say...it'll rock
the status quo for petes sake!!
Never discount that which doesn't fit neatly into the conventional. Physics
is so full of BS, it's official color is BROWN which is, ironically opposite
of blue - as in BLUE RIBBON (the anti-censorship campaign)!!
And I suppose you bow to Einstein? How would you like to explain the simple
act of inertia? You can't! Unlike most people, I QUESTION AUTHORITY - and
YOU ARE NOT IT! Get out of my way!!!
It's a shame people like you are placed in positions of censorship - you
have no place there, and since you like to snuff ideas so much - I hope you
choke on them!
I live for the day you'll regret writing the above, which I intend to save
(and savor) for posterity! You're doomed to infamy. Is that what you

authoritarian crap. I REFUSE to be part of the "crowd" and that's why I
have the membership I have.
You want to talk quality individuals, I'd stack my membership up against a
ton of store-bought cookie cutter university trained physicists any day of
the week! My membership THINKS CREATIVELY! Hard concept for you to
understand, but somehow I think Newton et.al. would have been part of MY
membership - NOT YOURS! Wanna bet on that one?
Now, I ask you - which one of us is going to be most likely to solve the
problem of gravity? The censor...or the censor-ee? Which one of us has the
cahoneys to really do it? Which one has the fire? The passion?
