Miwa has been my penpal for over 10 years. She visited me twice, once in southern & once in northern California. She didn't tell her parents the second time. They didn't know about her part-time job, and were surprised when they tried to call her and found out from a roommate that she was in America!
Miwa just got email, and I've been writing to her more regularly now. I don't seem to have patience with writing letters on paper any more...
I still need to visit her in Japan.
